Table Mountain Abb Seiling views from the summit of Cape Town’s iconic landmark are spectacular enough, now imagine enjoying them as you rope your way down the side of the mountain.

Being 1 000 metres above sea level makes for an exhilarating experience as you are lowered into the vortex, the vast blue ocean stretching out before you, and Camps Bay, Lion’s Head and The Twelve Apostles forming a panorama of splendour.

For adventurers who wish to truly test their endurance, there is the option to hike and abseil Table Mountain in one go. You’ll ascend via Platteklip Gorge, but then, before joining the landlubbers in the cable car, you’ll strap yourself into a harness and take the route less travelled. Once finished, you can take the cable car back or you can opt to walk down Platteklip Gorge on your own.
